TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa tennis team won its second consecutive match with a home victory on Saturday morning against Oakland (Mich.) University.

- The Spartans started strong with a sweep in doubles action.
- Tampa ten proceeded to win four of the six singles events.
- The top doubles group of Caroline Lozo and Corbin Dorsey prevailed 8-4.
- At number two doubles, Vanina Iordanova and Maddie Stephens won by a 9-7 tally.
- Lilley Nice and Emily Hewland gave the Spartans a doubles sweep with an 8-5 win.
- Lozo had a perfect day as she also won the number one singles match 6-4, 6-4.
- Nice, Dorsey and Gianna Pinasco picked up victories in the four, five and six singles matches.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Tampa is now a combined 18-8 in doubles matches this season.
- This marks the first win over a Division I opponent for the Spartans this season.
