ITA Names Ekaterina Grib as 2020 All-American
TEMPE, Ariz. - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association has announced its NCAA Division II Women's All-Americans, with the University of Tampa's Ekaterina Grib becoming the first-ever selection in program history.
Grib, a sophomore from Minsk, Belarus, finished the 2020 season with a singles record of 12-1 with a nine-match winning streak to conclude the season. In doubles, she teamed with Savannah Williams at the top spot and went 8-4. She was also the first player in program history to be named ITA National Player of the Week.
This continues a longstanding tradition of awarding student-athletes for their outstanding performance on the court. The 2020 ITA Division II Women's All-Americans were named after a shortened season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
