The match got off to a very quick start, with Tampa wasting no time warming up. On Court 2 doubles duo, Anine Wilberg/Savannah Williams set the tone early for the Tampa closing out the Alina Kupfer/Verena Weindl (SNHU): 6-0. Court 3 would wrap up shortly after Aleks Topalovic/Rebecca Presley defeated Isabella Andrade/Guntra Upeniece (SNHU): 6-2. On the main court, Raquel Amaro/Victoria Sanchez finished off No. 44 Alexxa Etienne/Mafdalena Hubickova (SNHU) to win their ninth-straight doubles match. | 1-0 (Tampa).
Onto singles, the Spartans transitioned their momentum from doubles into singles with Courts 4 & 5 ending in shutout sets by the Anine Wilberg & Rebecca Presley. | 3-0 (Tampa). Presley, a 6-1 freshman out of Toronto, CA is undefeated in singles so far this season recording her seventh-straight victory. That was not the only accelerated match of the day. On Court 3, Savannah Williams shutout Alexxa Etienne (SNHU) to put the Spartans up four with only an hour and a half of gameplay. | 4-0 (Tampa).
Having defeated the No. 28 ranked Anna Novikova (UIndy) on March 15th, No. 41 Raquel Amaro-Veloso faced off against No. 22 Magdalena Hubickova (SNHU) out of the Czech Republic. No. 41 Amaro out of Venezuela defeated No. 22 Hubickova, 6-0, 6-2 racking up her eighth-straight victory, her third time defeating a Division II Top 30 ITA ranked player this season. | 5-0 (Tampa).
After taking the first set, Aleks Topalovic (Court 4) was down 4-1 in the second set. The English graduate out of London, UK made an amazing comeback, winning five-straight in the set to close out the match. Topalovic won her fifth-straight match. | 6-0 (Tampa)
Nearly clinching the match, Victoria Sanchez dropped the second set losing 7-6 on Court 2. This forced third set, known as the "Tiebreaker Set" to decide who will seize the match. After a series of rallies, Sanchez was triumphant in third set, winning 10-5. | 7-0 (Tampa)
