Women's Tennis Conclude On The Road Matches Beating West Florida

Valdosta, Ga- No. 16 University of Tampa tennis team went up against No. 17 West Florida Sunday morning. Tampa concludes their week with a 3-0 record.

Final: No. 16 University of Tampa Spartans 5 , No. 17 University of West Florida Argonauts 2

Records: Tampa (14-3, 6-3 SSC) , West Florida (11-8)

How it happened:

  • The Spartans took all three doubles matches. Doubles 3 bounced back from 5-2 to win their match 7-6(1).
  • The Spartans won Singles 1, 3, and 5 to clinch the match. 
  • The Spartans got the fifth point in Singles 4 in a third set tiebreaker.
  • The Argonauts got two points by winning Singles 2 and 6.
