PENSACOLA, Fla. - The second-ranked University of Tampa (10-1) volleyball team won its 10th consecutive match with a 3-0 win over the University of Alabama-Huntsville (3-8). The scores were
Margeux Sinibaldi moved past Kari Wanat (Florida Tech) to move into second place on the all-time Sunshine State Conference digs list. With six today, Sinibaldi now has 1,794 career digs and now needs 20 to match Sara Stewart's (Florida Southern) mark of 1,814.
Alisha Green and freshman Kaleigh Cunningham led Tampa with seven kills apiece as Cunningham, Annalea Warren and Kaela Glenn each registered seven digs. Gabriela Saade and Meghan Sherman split setting duties, finishing with 20 and 18 assists respectively. Erin Clark led the way with three blocks.
Tampa will not play until Saturday, when it travels to Melbourne to meet undefeated Florida Tech in its Sunshine State Conference opener. The match will carry a 4 p.m. start time.
