Kahley Patrick Named South Region Player of the Year; Other Spartans Honored

LEXINGTON, Ky. - University of Tampa setter Kahley Patrick was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) South Region Freshman of the Year while three teammates joined her as all-region selections as another Spartan was named honorable mention.

Sunshine State Conference and Daktronics South Region Player of the Year Danielle Selkridge was also named to the all-region team while the nation's leader in hitting percentage earned the honor for the second consecutive season.

Eva Dupay and Julie Howlett were also named to the all-region team while Jessica Yingling was an honorable mention choice to make it five members from the South Region champions on the team.

Patrick, a freshman from Clearwater, Fla., has started all 33 matches while leading the Spartans with 1,065 assists as a true freshman. She also ranks third on the team with 255 digs.
