Tampa’s Whaley Nabs Third Straight SSC Player of the Week Honors
WINTER PARK, Fla. - Tampa's Berkley Whaley and Eckerd's Katarina Milojevic have been selected Sunshine State Conference Volleyball Players of the Week presented by VALIC. Whaley earns her third-straight weekly award, while Milojevic claims her second-straight.
Whaley (St. Petersburg, Fla.) continues to dominate for the No. 2 Spartans. The sophomore averaged 5.29 kills per set with a .321 hitting percentage, while collecting five aces and averaging 4.57 digs per set against two strong SSC teams. Whaley recorded a double-double with 20 kills and 15 digs against Rollins, while adding two blocks. Against Florida Southern the outside hitter recorded another double-double with 17 kills and 17 digs, while notching 4 service aces.
