
No. 19 Tampa Set to Host Embry-Riddle
Will mark first of two weekend home matches for the Spartans

Last Time Out: For just the second time in program history, the No. 16 University of Tampa volleyball team suffered a loss at the hands of Saint Leo University by a 3-1 final score. Outside hitter Allee Stelogeannis led all players with 18 kills in the match while freshman Nicole Dominguez led the UT defense with 13 digs. Outside hitter Katie McKiel added 10 kills for Tampa while setter Sammy Mueller posted a double-double with 26 assists and 12 digs for the Spartans.
About the Spartans: Senior Stelogeannis leads all Spartans in kills and kills per set with 158 and 4.65, respectively. Libero Logan Holanchock leads the team in digs with 141 while averaging 4.15 digs per set. Sophomore Gen Beaumier and senior Stelogeannis are tied in service aces with 13.
About the Eagles: Embry-Riddle is fresh off a 3-1 win over the Rollins College Tars. Senior Paola Virella led the Eagles with 14 kills for the team-lead, adding nine digs, and one service ace. Outside hitter Amanda Saunders turned a double-double against the Tars, notching 13 kills and 14 digs. Virella leads the team in kills with 74 while middle blocker McKenna James is a close second with 65. Libero Maile Spenser leads the team in digs and digs per set with 168 and 5.42, respectively. Setter Jordan Nakayama has collected eight service aces on the season.
Series History: UT owns the all-time series record against Embry-Riddle University, holding a perfect 6-0 record. UT has a 2-0 record against the Eagles, since ERAU became a provisional member of the SSC. Both Spartan wins came in the 2015 season.
Tickets: The gates will open one hour before the match begins. Tickets are $5 for adults and senior citizens. Children under 12 will be admitted free. UT students, faculty and staff will be admitted free with a valid student ID.
