
Stelogeannis Earns Offensive Player of the Week Honors
The senior outside hitter garnered the SSC award after leading the Spartan offense to a pair of wins.
MELBOURNE, Fla. – After leading the No. 19 University of Tampa volleyball team to a 2-0 week, the Sunshine State Conference has named outside hitter Allee Stelogeannis the SSC Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference office Monday.
The award marks the first of the senior's career and is the first for the Spartans this season.
Stelogeannis was a force for UT, totaling 34 kills at a scorching .484 attack percentage from the outside pin. The Ocala, Fla. native added 27 digs to record a pair of double-doubles against Embry-Riddle and Rollins.
In the first matchup of the week against ERAU, Stelogeannis notched a 22-kill onslaught at a career-best .526 attack percentage. Defensively, the senior added 17 digs for a double-double while adding an assisted block in the 3-1 win. In a three-set sweep of Rollins, the outside hitter blasted 12 kills at a .417 attack percentage to combine with 10 digs for her second double-double in as many days. The senior totaled 15 points in the 3-0 win, serving a trio of aces to close out her dominating weekend.
