Spartans Extend Win Streak on the Road
BOCA RATON, Fla. – The top-ranked Spartans come out on top in conference matchup on the road against Lynn, extending their win streak.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Set: The game started with back to back points scored by both teams. The bar was set high with each team bringing the heat. After the fifth point, Lynn began pulling away leading Tampa 13-8 early. Tampa slowly climbed back closing the gap to four points. After 10 errors committed by Tampa, Lynn capitalized off them taking the first set. Score: 25-20 (Lynn)
Second Set: Tampa came into the second set with revenge on their mind setting the tone with a 5-1 lead. Lynn came back and tied the game at nine and soon pulling away. There were a few moments where Tampa's offense was scrambling, but they soon started to connect. It was a close set with Hayley Dillon and Tess Schrenger leading with three or more kills helping Tampa win their first set of the night. Score: 26-24 (Tampa)
Third Set: Tampa started the third set with more to prove leading 8-4 early. Two sneaky plays by Tatyana Lyons helped pump some energy into the offense with their defense following behind. Claudia Rivera led the defense diving for every loose ball trying to keep Tampa in the game. Despite Lynn tying the game at 11, Tampa never stopped fighting slowly pulling away with every kill. Kalli Cors led this set with five kills and one solo block. Nathaly Perez was right behind her with three and Dillon with two. Tampa's defense stood strong throughout the match with Lyons and Mackenzie Dufresne setting the standard putting Tampa on top of yet another set. Score: 25 -18 (Tampa)
Fourth Set: Tampa came out with the same energy looking to close out the game. Cors took over with her smooth and explosive approach to the game. A few hitting violations on Lynn helped Tampa extend their lead. Like the third set, Rivera had no problem hitting the floor for every ball being the difference in the game. Cors secured the win for Tampa with a game ending kill. Score: 25-22 (Tampa)
