Tampa, Fla. – No.4 Spartans dominate the Sailfish Tuesday night in an epic Sunshine State Conference matchup.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Set: The game started with pretty close between the Spartans and the Sailifish. Until, the Spartans broke free with a kill by Mackenzie Dufrense to put the Spartans up four (10-6). But the Sailfish did not go away, retaining the defecit to three for the majority of the set. The Sailfish would bring the defecit within two (17-19) with a superv kill by Angeleyshka Curbelo assisted by her teammate, Jayden Otto. The Spartans would then retaliate going on a three-point run before PBA's head coach, Doug Walters would call a timeout (22-17). Right out of the timeout, the Spartans closed out the set with a kill by Tess Schrenger. Schrenger had six kills in the first set. Score: 25-18 (Tampa)
Second Set: The second set started with the Sailfish having possession. PBA's Otto woulds score an ace to put the first score up in the second set. The Spartans would regain control with a kill by Kallie Cors to the put the Spartans up five (11-6). The Sailfish would then score four straight to put the Spartans lead at only one. This did not last very long as the Spartans went on a 10-3 run to put the lead up to seven (20-13). The Saiflish attempted to come back, but would fail to execute after giving up numerous unforced errors that allowed the Spartans to take the set. Score: 25-19 (Tampa)
Third Set: With only more one set to conquer, the Spartans came out early on a 10-3 run due to an ambitius Schrenger- striking down kill after kill. The Spartans then, maintained their dominance going on 10-5 run to get within five points of concluding the match (20-8). Shortly after, the Spartans would execute on the final play with a kill by Meghan Schreck, assisted by Emily Noe. Score: 25-14 (Tampa)
