
Four Tampa Players Receive AVCA All American Honors
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Tampa volleyball has four players receive AVCA All American honors. Kalli Cors leads the way as a First-Team All American selection, as Claudia Rivera earns Second-Team honors, as Mackenzie Dufresne and Tess Schrenger each earn Honorable mentions.
This season, Cors was a First-Team All SSC selection. She recorded a team leading 347 kills, averaging 3.07 kills per set. The sophomore is having a great year, recording career highs in digs with 187, and assists with 7. She recorded a conference leading 55 service aces. Recently, she was named an AVCA South Region selection.
Rivera also earned First-Team All SSC honors. She was recently selected to the AVCA South Region team. This season, she recorded a conference leading 570 digs with an average of 5.09 digs per set. The senior is having a great year, recording a career high in kills with 5.
Dufrense was a First-Team All SSC selection as well this season. Recently, she was named to the AVCA South Region team. She recorded a conference leading hitting percentage, with a .454. She is having her best year as a Spartan, recording career highs in kills with 235, digs with 76, and points 316.5.
Schrenger was named the AVCA South Region Freshman of the Year, as well as being selected for Third-Team All SSC and the All SSC Freshman Team. She recorded the second highest number of kills on the team with 290, averaging 2.57 kills per set.
