Tampa Volleyball Earns USMC/AVCA Team Academic and Honor Roll Designation
LEXINGTON, Ky. - The United States Marine Corps and the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced the University of Tampa earned the USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award and Honor Roll, which is presented to a small number of programs for their success in the classroom.
The Team Academic Award, initiated in the 1992–93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale. The Honor Roll represents the top 20% of team GPAs in the division.
Tampa was one of 31 schools in NCAA Division II to be named to the Honor Roll. Additionally, UT was one of two Sunshine State Conference schools to be listed, joined by Lynn University.
