HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Set: Barry opened up the day by scoring 8 of the first 10 points with Tampa calling a timeout after falling down 10-4. The Spartans couldn't find their offensive rhythm in the first set as they only scored back-to-back points once. The Buccaneers tallied 14 kills in the first set while simultaneously holding the Spartans to 12 points. An attack error from Rachel Gregg ended the first set at 25-12, in favor of the visitors. | Score: 25-12 Barry
Second Set: The beginning of the second set was closer than the first; The two teams were tied 3 times and an additional 3-0 run in favor of Tampa led to a timeout called by Barry's Leonid Yelin as the visitor's early lead was cut to 10-9. The Bucs scored 4 out of 5 points in the middle of the set, giving them the 17-12 advantage as Head Coach Chris Catanach called the Spartans' second timeout of the day. Unfortunately for Tampa, Barry maintained a lead of at least 6 points for the rest of the set and closed out the second set 9 points ahead. | Score 25-16 Barry
Third Set: Similar to the first set, the Buccaneers jumped out to an early lead that the Spartans couldn't catch as the third set saw no changes in the lead or points where the set was tied. However, late in the set, Tampa scored 4 of 6 points and found the Barry lead to cut to 21-17 as the visitors called a timeout. Another 4 kills from the Spartans, including 2 from Hayley Dillon, had Barry wanting another timeout as their new lead was 24-21. The stoppage wasn't enough for Tampa as Barry ended the set one play later to capture the match. | Score: 25-21 Tampa
