
Three Spartans represent UTampa on the NCAA All-South Region Team
Tampa, Fla. - The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its NCAA Division II All-Region awards, and three University of Tampa Spartans were honored. Kalli Cors and Nathaly Perez were named to the All-South Region First Team, while Zoey Seput earned a spot as an Honorable Mention. Those trio of Spartans were also each named to respective ALL-SSC Teams, with Cors and Seput being designated to the First Team and Perez picked to the Second Team.
For the third year in a row, Cors has been named to the All-South Region First Team. This season she averaged the sixth most kills with 3.43 a set, 288 total, and tallied a hitting percentage of .249 which ranks thirteenth in the conference. Cors also ranked sixth in service aces across the Sunshine State Conference as she averaged .42 a set and accumulated 35 total. Additionally, Cors currently has the 17th most kills in UTampa history with 1117 in her collegiate career.
This is Perez's second year in a row being named to the AVCA First Team, in addition to being an AVCA First Team All-American last year. Perez was ranked sixth in the SSC with a hitting percentage of .324 this season, while averaging over 3 kills each set, recording a total of 253 which ranked ninth.
In a season with multiple 50-assist matches and five Sunshine State Conference of the Week nominations, Seput was named an Honorable Mention to the AVCA South Region team. As the only player to surpass the 1000 assist mark in SSC this year, with 1009, Seput averaged 10.19 assists in each of her 99 sets played. This season brought Seput's assist total during her time at UTampa to 2387 as she caps off a phenomenal senior year.
