Bio

Kaylee Koetter is in her second season as an assistant coach after playing for three seasons as a setter for the Spartans and serving as a student assistant coach her senior season due to injury.

In her first season with the program, the former setter aided the team to a 27-6 overall record and a 15-1 tally in Sunshine State Conference play. 

Prior to her responsibilies with the Spartan volleyball team, Koetter was a successful club coach, working most recently with the A5 club program in Atlanta, Ga. Her u15 squad medaled in each qualifier that they competed in for the 2015 club season and ended the season ranked No. 4 in the country by Triple Crown Sports and Prep Volleyball.

As a student assistant coach, Koetter was responsible for managing the team operations and coordinated team travel. The former setter was also responsible for working with AVCA All-American setter Kahley Patrick while developing the Spartans setter corps.

While playing for Tampa, she was named to the SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll. She played in nine matches as a freshman, tallying 47 assists, nine digs and 3.0 total blocks. She made her collegiate debut against Northern Kentucky (9/4) and appeared in nine matches for the Spartans recording double digit assists in two, with 11 against West Alabama (10/16) and a career-high 17 against Kentucky State (11/18) in the NCAA South Regional. Against West Alabama, the setter also tallied two blocks along with four digs while registering her lone kill of the season. She also had an assist in SSC matches with Eckerd (10/19) and Nova Southeastern (11/12).

Koetter is a graduate of the University of Tampa with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and resides in Tampa, Fla. with her family. Her brother Derek is a student assistant at the University of Missouri while her sister is a freshman setter at Georgia Southern. The Tampa alumn's father, Dirk Koetter is the Head Coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
