TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa baseball team will host the University of Bridgeport for a midweek game starting at 6 pm.
The Matchup: No. 10 the University of Tampa vs. University of Bridgeport

About the Spartans: The No. 10 ranked University of Tampa Spartans are led by junior transfer Stephen Smith who has a .365 hitting percentage. Freshman Drew Ehrhard has the second leading batting average with .354. Darren Miller leads the team in RBIs with 21 while Harrison Bragg leads in home runs with six. Mark Moclair leads the pitching order with 0.41 ERA and 22 innings pitched. David Lebron leads the team in strikeouts with 53.
About the Purple Knights: The Purple Knights are traveling to Tampa after opening the season with a 1-11 record. As a team, Bridgeport has a .246 batting average, .316 on-base percentage, and a .362 slugging percentage. Darren Grabowski leads the team in batting average with .365. Tom Rinaldi leads in RBIs with 15. Anthony Martino leads the pitching order with a 3.46 ERA and 13 strikeouts.
Series History: Tampa owns the all-time series over Bridgeport by a 3-0 mark.
Tickets: Tickets for are $5 for adults, senior citizens, and coaches. Children under 12 will be admitted free. UT students, faculty and staff will be admitted free with a valid student ID.
