Former Spartan student-athlete Jordan Augier (2016) is the first University of Tampa swimmer in program history to qualify for the Olympic Games. The UT graduate will represent his home country of St. Lucia in the 2016 Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro.

In April 2010, the Sunshine State Conference presidents approved men's and women's swimming to be added as an official SSC sponsored sport.

The Spartans fell 106-99 to the hosting Panthers on the road, Saturday.

Both the men's and women's swim teams defeated their Lion counterparts in the annual Tampa Relays event, hosted by the University of Tampa.
