
UT Swimming Heads to Final Day With Solid Lead at Spartan Invite
CLEARWATER, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's and women's swimming teams continued competition at the seventh-annual Spartan Invite, with both UT teams continuing to lead after day three of four.
INSIDE THE MATCHUP:
Men's Day One Team Scoring: Tampa 1,119, Indian River 823, St. Leo 386, Lenoir-Rhyne 327, Emory & Henry 102
Women's Day One Team Scoring: Tampa 1,126, West Florida 750, Indian River 481, St. Leo 243, Lenoir-Rhyne 152, Emory & Henry 38

MEN'S TOP PERFORMERS:
- Hayden Curley established his second school record of the Invite, placing first in the 500 Free with a time of 4:20.77. Barnabás Flück and Caleb Brandon followed to make it an all-Tampa top three.
- A second-place time of 48.16 came from Parker Knollman in the 100 Back.
- Jared Mindek won the 100 Breast in 54.60. Aramis Rivera was third overall.
- The 800 Free Relay was won by Tampa's Curley, Fluck, Brandon and Santiago Aguilera in 6:31.51.
WOMEN'S TOP PERFORMERS:
- Freshman Kim McCaffrey won the 100 Back with a time of 55.05. Emily Van De Wiele was second in the event.
- Julia Augustsson and Alli McFarland led the way in the 100 Breast, with Augustsson's winning time coming in 1:03.05.
- Second and third in the 200 Fly went to UT's Katie Horan and Sierra Gillan.
- The Spartans took the 800 Free Relay in 7:30.81, from Roma Vrijhof, Gillan, McCaffrey and Van De Wiele.
