As a Freshman: Made Nine appearances in net for Tampa on the year with one start …Logged 345 minutes of playing time… Faced 16 shots on the season, and posted a save percentage of .635 on the year, while registering one shutout against Warner (10/28)…Her five saves were good enough to finish 14th in the SSC.
Club Highlights: Played club soccer at Brandon FC/VSI in the National Premier/FL Premier League under coach Alan Berrios… Team advanced to the 2013 FYSA State Cup Elite Eight, 2012 FYSA State Cup Sweet 16 and won the 2012 Nike Champions Cup...Played final year of club for Clearwater Chargers in the FL Premier League and CDL under coach Siggi Nagele… Team advanced to the 2014 FYSA Final 4 and traveled to Germany for international play...Began playing competitive at Braden River Soccer Club at the age of 12 under coaches David and Anna Jurnack.
High School: Attended Bloomingdale High School, where she played keeper for coach Heather Iverson...As a junior, during her first season as a Bull she helped lead the team to the district playoffs averaging a goals against average for the season of 0.40 and was recognized as a member of the 2013 all-county first team and All-Western Conference second Team...During the 2014 rebuilding season for the Bulls, was named captain, played with a season average of over 14 saves per game, all while helping the team close the season with a positive record and advancement to the district tournament...Was selected for the 2014 all-county, All-Western Conference and Tampa Tribune first teams as well as an opportunity to participate in the 2014 County All-Star game...Also played varsity flag football her senior year for coach Michael Lankford, helping to lead the Bulls to their first district title...Broke the school record for most receiving touchdowns with three in a game and 14 on the season and the most interceptions on the season with 10...She was also selected for the Western Conference Federal Division first-team, the FACA All-District, all-state and all-star teams, as well as the Tampa Tribune first team...During her senior year, received the Female Athlete of the Year as well as an Academic Award of Excellence from Bloomingdale High School...She was also recognized at the Tampa Tribune Parade of Athletes event for both her achievements in varsity soccer and varsity flag football for the Bloomingdale Bulls.
Personal: In addition to volunteering on the soccer field, her alma mater Bloomingdale High Sschool and church, Sydney loves her dogs (Marley – Rottweiler, Jake - Golden Retriever and Blue - Chiwawa), the outdoors – mountain biking, skim boarding, wake boarding, long boarding and camping, her iPhone and Netflix...Daughter of Jack Ross and Suzi and Alan Berrios...Has three siblings, Christopher Ross, Brianna Berrios and Devin Berrios...Communications major...Birthdate: 5/3/1995.
