Having both teams come off tough losses to twoo nationally ranked teams in their own conference, No. 6 Tampa & No. 46 Rollins see this matchup as an potential redemption opportunity to get back on track for the rest of the season. No. 46 Rollins lost a close one, 4-3 against No. 31 Embry-Riddle where Tampa lost to No. 13 Lynn last week, 6-1.
Make no mistake, the Spartans are optimistic going into this matchup, as they have an impressive 5-2 record on their homecourt, Naimoli & Young Family Tennis Complex.
Singles Radar Matchup:
No. 18 Raquel Amaro (UT) vs. Georgina Groth (RCW)
No. 18 Amaro will be going up agaisnt Groth, who in her last singles match, upsetted, No. 15 Itxaso Blanco (EBRY), 6-0, 6-1, 7-6 (3-0), after being shutout in the first set. No. 18 Amaro, who beat No. 15 Blanco back in February, will look to defeat her upcoming opponent on the main court.
No. 18 Amaro will also face Groth in doubles prior to their singles matchup, which will also be in on the main court: No. 17 Amaro/Sanchez (UT) vs Groth/Groves (RCW).
