Weekend Preview: Spartans Hit the Road this Weekend with Two SSC Matchups
Week 1
Saturday, Feb. 10th, 11:00 A.M. vs. No. 2 Nova Southeastern @NSU Tennis Center
Sunday, Feb. 11th, 11:00 A.M. vs. No. 1 Barry @Eddie C. Moore Complex
Tampa come fresh off a victory Thursday, Feb 1st against Florida National University.
SSC Teams with National Rankings: No. 1 Barry, No. 2 Nova Southeastern, No. 25 Tampa.
Tampa Spartan's Women's Tennis: (1-0)
Tampa
- Sweeping FNU 7-0 in their meet, the Spartans are confident coming into this away stretch. Nearly all of the Spartan players won their singles matches with a perfect 6-0 6-0, especially, Anine Wilberg & Nicole Cierniak.
Nova Southeastern
- After playing two scrimmages matches against State College of Florida and Hillsborough Community County, the Sharks will be hosting their first SSC match against Palm Beach Atlantic, Feb. 8th, before their meet against Tampa on Saturday Feb. the 10th.
Barry
- Recently losing to Keiser University (4-3), the Buccaneers started the season with a loss. Although, the Buccaneers got the doubles point, Keiser's singles win gave them the edge to win the meet. Barry will verse Palm Beach Atlantic, Feb. 7th, Florida Gulf Coast, Feb. 8th, and Valdosta State, Feb. 10th, before versing Tampa on Sunday, the 11th.
